MVP are one of Munich’s main paintball venues but have difficulties when it comes to advertising.
There are strong legal issues when promoting a firearm based activity on public transport.
To circumvent these problems I devised two advertising concepts to capture attention without any direction to the weapons, ammunition, targets or collateral damage usually associated with shooting sports.
The first was a spoof of glamour advertising, Munich being a city rife with placards for make-up, perfume, and fashion. The second was more traditional, mixing an aggressive looking cartoon paintball with a Bavarian ‘lebkuchenherz’ or heart shaped biscuit, an icon of the city and Bavaria in general.
