A selection of photographic studies that were made as a personal commission for an agency with whom I was working with at the time.
The brief was to produce original artworks as decoration for the studio meeting room and I was given free rein to do whatever I wanted. In some ways, this is a difficult thing, so I inbuilt some restraints. Firstly, I made all pieces photographic; secondly, my subjects all had to be drawn from the studio space itself.
The result was a series that focussed on an element or material that we would see every day but presented in such a way that it was unclear what they actually were.
The final results were produced as prints on silk which were mounted on block frames.
