Designing a visual identity for precision oncology.
This project explored a series of logo concepts for a new cancer treatment.
While there’s ongoing debate about whether a pharmaceutical product — particularly a cancer therapy — truly needs a logo, that was the brief in hand. The task was to visualise a mode of action in a way that felt both scientifically credible and visually distinctive.
Interestingly, the treatment shares its fundamental mechanism with others in its class, but introduces an additional functional element that enhances its efficacy.
The design response centred on that difference — the idea of a compound as a container, holding something special within
Across the series, the marks explore how to express that inner potential through form, space, and contrast. Each design attempts to balance clinical precision with a sense of contained energy — a visual metaphor for innovation beneath the surface.
