event poster template for the international pedagogy-thru-skateboarding NGO Skateistan.
I designed a customizable event poster template for Skateistan, the international pedagogy-through-skateboarding NGO. The poster features a striking image of the iconic “bomb ramp”, a landmark element from Skateistan’s very first skatepark in Kabul, paired with a dramatic, attention-grabbing headline to immediately draw the viewer in.
To add a layer of intrigue and visual dynamism, I rotated the image sideways, challenging conventional composition and immediately drawing the viewer’s eye
This subtle shift not only creates a sense of movement and curiosity—reflecting the fluidity and energy of skateboarding—but also encourages the audience to engage more actively with the poster, pausing to interpret the visual. By combining this unconventional orientation with bold typography and high-contrast imagery, the design conveys both excitement and accessibility, embodying Skateistan’s mission to empower youth through sport and creativity. The layout was carefully structured to ensure that, despite the tilted perspective, event details remain clear and legible, making the poster both visually striking and functionally effective.
